It is recommended that you review the minimum requirements of the Corsa Security Orchestrator (CSO) virtual appliance before starting any installation.
The following steps use the VMware ESXi 6.7 web interface to illustrate the remote installation of the Corsa Security Orchestrator. The use of the VMware ESXi web interface is not necessarily required as VMware offers many installation techniques, the web interface is merely used for illustration purposes.
Create a new virtual machine
- In the VMware ESXi Navigator, select Virtual Machines
- Click Create \ Register VM to open the 'New virtual machine' wizard
Complete the New Virtual Machine wizard
The use of the new virtual machine wizard when deploying a virtual machine from an OVA file greatly simplifies the creation process. Below is some general guidance as you move through the wizard.
- As illustrated above, select Deploy a virtual machine from an OVF or OVA file
- Click Next
- Name the VM and select the Corsa Security Orchestrator OVA file for the VM you would like to deploy
- Click Next
- Select a datastore for the virtual machine's configuration files and all of its virtual disks
- Click Next
- Select Deployment Options
- Select the appropriate VM Network mappings
- Select Thin Disk provisioning
- Select Power on automatically to ensure the CSO "powers on" each time the host boots
- Review your settings selection
- Click Finish
Open the Corsa Security Orchestrator console
- In the VMware ESXi Navigator, select Virtual Machines and from there select your new virtual machine
- Click Console and choose Open browser console
